Annual Report App Mockup
Girl Scout Annual Report Advanced Typography, Interactive Design Annual reports are traditionally static documents — pages of numbers and milestones meant to be filed away after a quick skim. This reimagining of the Girl Scouts Annual Report asks what happens when that information gets to move. Designed as an interactive iPad experience, the report uses the affordances of the screen rather than fighting them. Pages are scrollable and tappable. Key moments are animated. The layout responds to touch in ways that a printed page never could — turning what is usually passive reading into something closer to exploration. The goal was to make the data and the story of the organization feel alive, not archival. The Girl Scouts as a subject felt right for the format. An organization built around the idea that girls should be active, curious, and capable deserved a document that embodied those same qualities — something you interact with rather than just receive. The hardest part was the interactivity itself. Designing static layouts is one challenge; designing for how something behaves when touched, tapped, and swiped is another entirely. Getting the animations to feel purposeful rather than decorative required constant iteration between concept and execution. Built using the Adobe Creative Suite, this project sits at the intersection of editorial design, motion, and interface thinking — which is exactly where the most interesting design problems live.
