Flores et Apes
HTML, CSS, Videography Flores et Apes — Latin for flowers and bees — is a three-page website built to make one thing clear: bees are in trouble, and that's everyone's problem. The site is organized around the relationship at its center. The flower page explains how flowering plants depend on bees for pollination, and the bee page delivers the facts about what threatens them. Each section pairs research-backed information with nature footage and links to external reporting, giving visitors a path from awareness to deeper reading. The homepage draws you in with an original video I shot and edited myself — layered nature footage with effects meant to feel alive and urgent rather than clinical. The hardest part wasn't the code — it was making the research feel like something worth caring about. Environmental issues can feel abstract and overwhelming. The goal with Flores et Apes was to make the stakes feel immediate and personal: these creatures are disappearing, they hold ecosystems together, and small actions genuinely matter. The name says it all. Flowers and bees belong together. The site exists to remind people of that before it's too late.
